Holding true to the belief of the Church Fathers, the Church teaches that the Mass is the "Source and the Summit" of the Christian life. Everything flows from and is directed toward the Eucharist. Christ is truly present in the Eucharist.
We believe that the Mass should be the most meaningful event in our life, for "in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself (Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 1324).
